Allura Partners appoints CEO of Barbeques Galore

Earlier this year, Allura Partners was engaged by our long-standing client, Quadrant Private Equity (Quadrant) to conduct an executive search to appoint a new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for their Barbeques Galore investment. Barbeques Galore is Australia’s go to brand for barbeque and outdoor living products.

The search focused on appointing an experienced retail executive to lead a highly experienced senior management team and overall group on their continued growth trajectory. Quadrant required an executive with the skills, experience and hustle to accelerate all opportunities and take the business to the next level.

Post an extensive search, Angus McDonald was identified and engaged. Angus is a strategic retail leader with deep experience across retail operations, merchandise, ecommerce and B2B. During his eleven-year career at Super Retail Group working within the Super Cheap Auto division, Angus developed his strategic leadership and planning skills to deliver numerous growth initiatives. In 2018, Angus was ranked 12th on Internet Retailing’s Top 50 People in eCommerce for the significant advancements he and his team delivered for Supercheap Auto’s digital business.

Allura Partners would like to congratulate Angus who has recently commenced as the Chief Executive Officer of Barbeques Galore. Congratulations Angus and good luck.
